Jobs in America – Way Down

Out of Work...

Kerry needs to ask the voters to look in their local papers and see how many jobs are listed, compared to a few years ago.  When I look at my local paper, I see perhaps one-tenth of the jobs that were available just a few years ago.

I know this is probably due to online job listings, but the majority of folks are not looking for jobs online.

A little late, I know, but perhaps it can be passed along…

Without a Doubt?

Here’s a link to a New York Times article by Ron Suskind…  It’s long but the key concept is captured here:

The aide said that guys like me were ”in what we call the reality-based community,” which he defined as people who ”believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.” I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. ”That’s not the way the world really works anymore,” he continued. ”We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.

I copied the article here to make it easy to find.

WikiNews from WikiMedia

  Wiki what?

You may be asking what a wiki is.  A wiki is a web site that anyone can edit.  I have one you can use at:

The folks who set up one of my favorite wiki sites, an online user built encyclopedia are considering setting up a user built news site.

The are soliciting your opinion about whether or not we should have a wiki News site.  Read about it at:
